Hindsight is 20/20.

As such, we can't know the future of what inflation will do. But we know it's raging right now. And we do have many historical examples of inflation leading to societal breakdown in the past.

Genesis 41-47 tells a fascinating tale of how God ordained that savings should save lives—including the house of Israel—through the ingenuity of Joseph the Patriarch storing up years of grain for the people.

“When the money failed in Egypt, all the Egyptians came to Joseph...

-Genesis 47. 15

But these chapters also tell the story of how, when money failed and the Egyptians were in dire straights, it led to the widespread enslavement of the people to Pharaoh.

The Guild's mission is to build a network of businesses, workers, and nonprofits in our archdiocese so as to support our parishes, schools, and families.

But that's all for naught if the money the faithful work for and store up is wiped away by inflation. Historically, a powerful hedge against inflation has been gold and silver.

We want everyone to considerto at least be informed about

the value of owning precious metals.

We want strong parishes that can shelter the faithful and be a refuge for the masses.

On June 14, 2023, we hosted a presentation by St. Joseph Partners, a Catholic-owned business within our network. They emphasized the importance of not having ZERO precious metals in our members’ portfolios. Since that time, both gold and silver are up well over 20%, while inflation has continued to erode the value of the dollar.

As we plan for the future, inflation could significantly impact our parishes’ ability to carry out their missions. Drew Mason, of St. Joseph Partners, will be in town and, as such, we’ve scheduled meetings for those with significant financial responsibilities in our parishes.

Experience working on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers, where Drew lost much of his life savings, opened his eyes to the safety of gold & silver. In 2010 he founded St. Joseph Partners, which provides a range of services including the sales and purchase of precious metals.
